Breakneck - China's Quest to Engineer the Future

Dan Wang analyzes the cultural differences between the U.S. and China and argues that both cultures should move towards a medium. He states that China is a society run by Engineers, both literally and figuratively, and that this society while being extremely powerful has the drawback of forging ahead with changes and innovations, with little thought given to consequences. On the opposite side he states that the U.S. is a society run by Lawyers, who are unconcerned with technology and business and whose main focus is business and preservation of society as it is now, fighting against change and innovation. He argues that China is growing and changing too fast, and that the U.S. is stagnant, and that both societies and cultures should shift towards eachother, to the benefit of everyone.
